Who we are

Bookt is an appointment-booking service developed by Camp Chair Studios LLC ("Camp Chair Studios," "we," or "us"). We provide booking tools to businesses ("owners") and their customers ("clients"). This policy describes the information we handle to operate Bookt, including the optional Google Calendar feature. The business using Bookt may have its own privacy practices concerning the clients it serves.

Information Bookt handles

For appointments and customer records, Bookt may process names, email addresses, telephone numbers, selected services, requested or confirmed times, answers submitted with booking forms, notes provided in connection with an appointment, service settings, and status changes. Bookt also processes account and operational information needed for owners to administer their installations and receive booking notifications.

When you contact Camp Chair Studios through our website or by email, we use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry and maintain the related correspondence.

Google Calendar: what we request

Connecting Google Calendar is optional and requires the Google account holder's permission. Bookt requests permission to view the list of calendars associated with the connected account and to view and manage events on those calendars. We request calendar-list read access so owners can choose calendars, and event access so Bookt can read existing commitments and create, update, or remove the Google copies of Bookt appointments.

We do not ask for access to Gmail, Google Drive, or the ability to change Google Calendar sharing permissions or delete whole calendars.

How we use Google Calendar information

• Prevent scheduling conflicts: Bookt reads busy times from the Google calendars the owner selects and removes overlapping appointment times from the public booking flow.
• Provide a private owner view: The authenticated owner can see relevant calendar names, event titles, dates, times, locations, and descriptions from their connected Google calendars.
• Synchronize Bookt bookings: When configured by the owner, Bookt creates corresponding calendar events for confirmed bookings and updates or removes those copies after relevant changes or cancellations. Those events may include a service name and client name.
• Maintain the connection: We use Google authorization credentials to maintain the connection the owner has requested.

Clients do not receive the titles, descriptions, locations, or other private details from a business owner's Google Calendar. The client-facing booking page uses only the resulting availability. Business owners can choose which calendars Bookt checks.

Storage, service providers, and sharing

Bookt and its Calendar Hub run on Cloudflare infrastructure. Appointment records are stored in the relevant Bookt installation. The Calendar Hub stores encrypted Google authorization tokens, selected calendar identifiers, and references needed to connect Bookt appointments with the Google events it creates. Google event content is retrieved when needed to check availability or display events to the authorized owner; the integration is not designed to maintain a separate long-term archive of imported Google event descriptions.

We use service providers necessary to operate Bookt, including infrastructure hosting and email delivery for booking-related messages. Data may be processed by those providers to deliver the service. Google receives the booking information that an owner elects to synchronize to their Google Calendar. We do not sell Google user data or use it for targeted advertising, marketing profiles, or advertising measurement.

Security

We use HTTPS connections, access controls for owner functions, separation between business installations, and encryption of stored Google connection tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Owners should protect their Bookt and Google account credentials and use access only with people authorized to manage their bookings.

Retention and disconnecting Google

We retain booking and operational records as needed to provide the service, support business administration, meet applicable obligations, and resolve issues. Retention for a business's client records may also depend on that business's practices and instructions.

An owner can disconnect Google Calendar in Bookt or revoke access in their Google Account settings. Disconnecting Bookt removes its stored Google authorization connection and selected-calendar settings and stops future calendar access through that connection. It does not delete the owner's Google Calendar or automatically remove previously synchronized Google events. Some non-content event references or operational records may remain as needed to manage previously synchronized bookings, troubleshooting, or required recordkeeping.

Your choices and requests

Owners can decide whether to connect Google Calendar, choose which calendars influence availability, and disconnect the feature. Customers seeking to review or correct details they submitted for a booking should first contact the business with which they booked. For privacy requests directed to Camp Chair Studios, including questions about access, correction, or deletion where applicable, contact [email protected].

Google API data use

Bookt's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs is limited to providing and improving the user-facing calendar connection and the purposes described in this policy, consistent with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable. Google data is not transferred to third parties for advertising or sold to data brokers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Bookt changes. We will post the updated text here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate, including when the use of connected Google data materially changes.
